Capolavoro, The Design, Development and Production of the Lancia Lambda.

A must for every "Lancista" CAPOLAVORO

THE DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION OF THE LANCIA LAMBDA

This long-awaited book by Bill Jamieson, a leading authority on the Lancia Lambda, is now available. "Capolavoro" ("Masterpiece") is the compelling story of the development of one of the most innovative and influential motor cars of the twentieth century, and represents the outcome of more than twenty-five years of research by Bill in Italy, England, Australia and USA. It is edited by John Turner, himself a Lambda owner for more than thirty years; sympathetically designed by Will How and printed by fine art printer Leo Van Hoorick. All have a long-standing involvement with Lancia cars and with the Lambda in particular. The publication of this edition has been made possible by Gerald Batt, long-time Lambda "appassionato" and Past President of the Lancia Motor Club.

"Capolavoro" is not another coffee-table book, but a comprehensive account of the design and development of the car, and it draws on first-hand accounts by Battista Falchetto, the brilliant young designer responsible for the famous sliding-pillar suspension, and on the work of others who contributed to the conception and production of the Lambda. Editoriale Domus in Italy and The Autocar in England have made available rare illustrations, and the book contains some 350 photographs and drawings, many of which have never before been published.

The first definitive account of the Lambda, "Capolavoro" is essential reading for all Lancia enthusiasts, particularly those with an interest in the early history of the company and the many technical innovations for which this marque is famous. The production of the book is strictly limited. Only one thousand copies will be printed. Hardcover. 232 pages. 295 x 230 mm. 6 appendixes 9 tables 348 illustrations.

The book is available from LMC Regalia standard version £79.50 plus p&p.
Limited numbered edition signed by the author with slip case £90.00 plus p&p
