Lancia Motor Club National Rally and AGM 2012
Friday September 28th to Sunday September 30th 2012

This year our annual weekend is scheduled for the last weekend in September at the fabulous Crewe Hall Qhotel in Cheshire,
http://www.qhotels.co.uk/hotels/crewe-hall-crewe-cheshire.aspx

Get treated like royalty in one of Cheshire’s most stately mansions: Crewe Hall, Cheshire. Located in extensive grounds, this Grade I listed building has been attracting refined guests since the 17th century, including our current monarch Queen Elizabeth II.
No other hotel in Cheshire displays the mix of historic Jacobean and sharp 21st century architecture like Crewe Hall and is just minutes from the M6 motorway. The magnificent building’s history manifests in a vast array of exquisite marble fireplaces, ornate plasterwork, carved wood and stained glass windows, elaborate décor and architecture make staying at Crewe Hall an event in itself.
Here the food is as divine as the surroundings, and the hotel is preparing a special Italian menu for our Gala dinner. Also, why not test the barman’s knowledge and choose from an extensive selection of cocktails at the bar?

Free internet access is available throughout Crewe Hall, and complimentary use of the leisure facilities including a heated indoor pool makes the weekend all the more enjoyable. Optional spa treatments are also offered.
As to the weekend itself, there will be an informal welcoming buffet dinner in the main house, and Saturday starts with a road tour and AGM in the late afternoon before our gala dinner. Sunday is thrown over to the traditional concours, socialising and networking, with prize giving after lunch.

Friday night
On arrival there will be an opportunity to have pre-dinner drinks in the spectacular Hall of Pillars. Why not test the barman’s knowledge and choose from an extensive selection of cocktails at the bar? An informal welcoming buffet sit-down dinner will follow in the Long Gallery.

Saturday Tour(s)
We are hoping to provide two tours to choose from. The first is a run of about 50 miles east into the Peak District with its fantastic views and roads, and the second is in a westerly direction around the Crewe area. Keen drivers and navigators may be able to squeeze both in before the AGM later in the afternoon.

The AGM
Continuing with the timing of the AGM last year, our annual meeting will be held at 16.30 on Saturday afternoon in the Arnarge Suite (first floor). This is the opportunity to hear how the club has served you over the last 12 months and it is also an opportunity to hear members input on how you would like the club to run, moving forward. Come along and get involved. There are also places available on the Committee so please contact Andy or any member of the committee if you are interested to lend a hand.
As is customary, various club prizes will be presented at this meeting.

The Gala Dinner
There will be an opportunity for pre-dinner drinks in the Foyer followed by the Gala Dinner itself held in the Continental Suite. The hotel is preparing a special Italian themed menu for our Gala Dinner. Choices (with vegetarian options) are on the booking form in May Viva Lancia. A guest speaker has yet to be confirmed and any thoughts on this should be directed to any member of the committee as soon as possible please.

The National Rally
As ever on the Sunday we encourage Lancia owners from far and wide to bring their pride and joy(s) to the National Rally. Get your cars out for what may be the last few days of road tax (applies to only post 1972 models…), and also celebrate with your Beta the last event in the LMC calendar where you can catch up with like minded Lancia folk. There will be regalia and concours, and there are plans for some technical workshops.

Bring a picnic or enjoy a hot lunch at the hotel. Please note it is important to book the hot lunch on the booking form as the hotel needs to know its catering requirements.

We hope to again try to re-introduce the Lancia Club Memorabilia Auction. This will rely on members finding items they are happy to part with. Please have a good rummage and bring items on the day. The auction will be auctioned for the benefit of the club.

Prize-giving will take place in the Continental suite after lunch.
